About the Founder

Shahrzad Nazmi

Shahrzad Nazmi is the founder of Harmonic Mind and a mental health practitioner with an educational background in psychology, psychological well-being, and mental health.

A central focus of Shahrzad’s professional development has been psychedelic-assisted and psychedelic-informed mental health care. She has completed advanced training in psychedelic-assisted therapy, including Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAT), along with specialized education in trauma, somatic approaches, psychedelic preparation and integration, and altered states of consciousness.

Another important part of her work is psychosomatic and mind-body care. Shahrzad explores how emotional experiences, stress, trauma, and unresolved psychological patterns can be expressed through the body and nervous system. Her approach supports clients in developing greater awareness of physical sensations, emotional responses, and the connection between the mind and body.

She incorporates psychosomatic techniques, somatic awareness, nervous-system regulation, mindfulness, breathwork, and body-based practices to support emotional processing, grounding, and deeper self-awareness.

Her work focuses on supporting individuals who want to explore deeper emotional patterns, unresolved trauma, identity, relationships, and personal growth within an ethical, trauma-informed, and professionally supported framework.

At Harmonic Mind, Shahrzad provides psychedelic preparation and integration support, helping clients prepare psychologically and emotionally before psychedelic experiences and process the insights, emotions, memories, and changes that may emerge afterward.

Her approach goes beyond the psychedelic experience itself. She believes meaningful and lasting change develops through careful preparation, integration, mind-body connection, nervous-system regulation, self-awareness, and ongoing psychological support.

Shahrzad’s broader clinical approach is trauma-informed, relational, and client-centred. Depending on each person’s needs, her work may incorporate psychodynamic and attachment-based perspectives, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, ACT, CBT, mindfulness, psychosomatic approaches, somatic practices, and nervous-system awareness.

She supports adults, couples, and families experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, major life transitions, and personal or spiritual exploration.

Through Harmonic Mind, Shahrzad brings together psychological knowledge, psychosomatic and mind-body approaches, trauma-informed care, nervous-system awareness, and emerging psychedelic-informed approaches to create a respectful and supportive environment for deeper healing, self-understanding, and meaningful personal change.
